As part of its mission, the Skin & Cancer Foundation Australia is committed to support and enhance research at the Foundation. The team, headed by Associate Professor Pablo Fernández-Peñas, are continuing to develop research activities at the Foundation by supporting a wider scope of research, including clinical trials, in-house projects, case studies and collaborative research projects. Furthermore, since the Foundation has a range of dermatologists with diverse specialties, the research topics studied are vastly different.

Education and training is also a large part of our mission. The Foundation's many dedicated specialists are very committed to sharing their expert knowledge in dermatology with the wider medical community. The Foundation funds a number of dermatology registrar positions each year. As well as being a training facility for dermatology registrars, the Foundation also educates medical students in supervised clinics and provides training sessions for nurses and general practitioners. Our dermatologists also give lectures on their dermatology speciality at different universities, hospitals and conferences in Australia, and around the world.
However, research and education at the Foundation would not be achievable without the generous support of our Partners. Since the Skin & Cancer Foundation is a non-for-profit organisation, we rely on the support of others to help grow our research and training divisions. The Foundations sponsorship program is one way that individuals and external companies can give back to the Foundation. You can support us by donating directly to the Foundation or by purchasing products from the “Partners of the Foundation”. When you support us directly or through our Partners, you support our common goal to make a difference in the lives of dermatology patients through research and education.
