Dr de Launey has a long association with the Skin & Cancer Foundation as a clinician and administrator. His principal interests are the surgical treatment of skin cancer, infectious disease and the treatment of severe acne. Dr de Launey is a keen educator and is involved in both College of Dermatologists registrar training and in up-skilling family practitioners, particularly in cutaneous surgery. He is usually away from the Foundationin the middle of the year when he is doing some work in isolated Pacific areas.
